Have your flat back jewelry and tools ready. Wash your hands and make sure your jewelry and piercing are clean before you begin.

3. REMOVE YOUR JEWELRY

Take Out Your Existing Jewelry

For threaded jewelry, unscrew the front piece. For threadless jewelry, gently pull the front piece straight out.

4. INSERT THE TAPER

Guide the Insertion Tool Through Your Piercing

Gently slide the appropriate insertion taper through your piercing until it passes completely through.

5. CONNECT THE FLAT BACK POST

Attach Your Jewelry

Connect the back of your flat back post securely to the insertion taper.

6. GUIDE THE JEWELRY INTO PLACE

Insert Your Flat Back

Slowly pull the insertion taper through your piercing, guiding the flat back post into position.

7. ATTACH THE FRONT PIECE

Secure Your Jewelry

Use the Specialized Tack Tool or Gem Tweezer Tool to hold the front piece while screwing (threaded) or pushing (threadless) it into the post until secure.

8. YOU'RE DONE!
